Ellen Young, CEO

As CEO, Ellen Young is responsible for overseeing operations, developing, and implementing strategic plans, managing finances, and building relationships with stakeholders to advance the mission and goals of CHMRC. After years in education, Ellen most recently served as the Vice President at the Irvine Health Foundation until its sunset. For the last decade, she has held various positions immersed in philanthropy work to help build community resilience, especially among underserved populations. Ellen has led technology startup efforts with success exits as well as several global health initiatives. Ellen served on the California Master Plan for Aging Partnership Committee, helping to steer the implementation of the Governor’s master plan at both the state and local levels. Ellen was also selected to be part of the Southern California Grantmakers Peer to Peer Network. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Biola University.

Daniel K. Christensen, Chief Privacy & Security Officer

Daniel K. Christensen is the Chief Privacy and Security Officer at CHMRC. In this role, he develops and implements policies and procedures to safeguard the organization’s data assets, systems, and networks from unauthorized access, disclosure, and misuse. An In-House Counsel of the Year winner (AZ-2016) by the AZ Bar and AZ Business Magazine, and Top 50 Pro Bono attorney, Daniel has served in C-suite, legal and board roles for Fortune 25, small business, and private equity across four countries and five US states. Daniel gives back by setting up and working with several nonprofits and has organized a pro bono debt clinic that has assisted over 300 families and individuals in the Phoenix area. Daniel has a master’s degree from the University of Oxford, a juris doctorate from the University of Utah, two bachelor’s degrees from BYU, and four privacy certifications from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), as well as recently being named a Fellow of Information Privacy (FIP) by the IAPP.

Sara Prince, Director of Communications & Public Relations

Sara Prince is Director of Communications and Public Relations at CHMRC. She is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of CHMRC’s public relations and communications strategies. With over 16 years of experience in journalism, media relations and strategy, Sara has held various leadership positions, serving in a wide range of industries such as literary, commercial security, fintech, and the utility industries. Prior to her current role, she served as the spokesperson for San Diego Gas & Electric in San Diego, California. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Media and Communications from Indiana State University.

Amelia Priest, Director of Strategy & Community

Amelia Priest is Director of Strategy and Community Engagement at CHMRC. She leads the coordination and strategic alignment of projects and external initiatives focused on closing the gaps in community-based health equity, building stronger, healthier, and more resilient communities. Amelia has 10 years of diverse healthcare and project management experience from healthcare innovation accelerators, hospital system operations with a focus on improving quality measures and patient safety, and post-acute operations. She holds her Project Management Professional certification from PMI; assisting in the development and implementation of performance excellence strategies and program management at CHMRC.

Mark Raymond, Health Information Exchange

Mark Raymond is the acting health information exchange officer at CHMRC. He responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of the CHMRC’s health information exchange strategy. Mark brings more than 30 years of technology and management experience to the organization, including 20 years of experience working with health-related nonprofits. Mark also provides expertise in branding, marketing, technology management, and information security and has led multiple projects with worldwide product rollouts and participated in multiple technology startup ventures. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Information and Computer Science from the University of California, Irvine and an Executive MBA from the University of California, Irvine.
