About Us

The Community Health Medical Reserve Corps (CHMRC) was established as a Medical Reserve Corps in 2014. The organization was created to provide resources and assist during the numerous emergencies and disasters California faced, including wildfires, mudslides, earthquakes, and ultimately COVID-19. During COVID, CHMRC expanded its vision and scope by actively developing innovative solutions that built on technologies, communication, and processes to bridge the significant gaps in healthcare delivery between healthcare providers, public health agencies, emergency responders, payers, and community-based health organizations nationwide. Our mission is to empower communities, transform health, and build resilience and equity for all.
